Good news for budget fashionistas! (Um, practically everyone right now.) Target’s collaboration with Isaac Mizrahi is coming to an end and in its place Target is launching “Designer Collaborations”. Set to hit stores in March, the program will kick start with designer Alexander McQueen, by parlaying off his contemporary line McQ Alexander McQueen that he launched last year. Unlike Target’s Go International, which features up and coming designers like Richard Chai and Jonathan Saunders, Designer Collaborations will be ongoing and feature more established designers like McQueen. Rumor is that the designs will be the fairy-tale feminity of McQueen’s hand plus a dose of toughness. Think accents like studded belts. First Comme des Garcons x H&M and now Alexander McQueen x Target. It’s a good time to be broke.
